Lunch.
Lily and I don’t get to spend too much time together these days with our work schedules and extracurricular activities. On Friday, I suggested we get lunch and we decided to hit up Ippudo, a ramen house nearby her office.
The walk over to Astor Place was nice – the leaves on Allen Street are all changing.
Lily’s desk faces the street. It’s pretty easy to sneak up and scare her.
Ippudo has tons of bowls mounted on the walls when you walk in. Their bar counters also have ramen inside them.
Lily and I both ordered the combo, which includes a roast pork rice bowl and a small salad.
I got the spicy tonkatsu ramen with slices of berkshire pork. The broth was the perfect level of spiciness – just enough kick while still enjoyable. They also offer a noodle refill for $2 but I withheld (this time).
Four thumbs up.
