Arthur Hollands x Iron Heart.
My partner at Self Edge, Kiya, sent this image to Johan and me a few days ago – he told us that the guy in the photo is a minister who travels the world spreading the Gospel decked out head to toe in Iron Heart. During his last trip to Japan, they asked him to pose for an ad.
His name is Arthur Hollands – he’s the son of an ex-US marine and a Japanese woman and was born in Osaka in 1951. After spending some time in the US, he was baptized at 23 and returned to Japan in 1988 as an evangelist. He’s currently working with Campus Crusade for Christ in Japan and preaches extensively both for formal engagements and on street corners in Tokyo. He’s also involved with “Mission Barabbas,” a ministry that consists of ex-Yakuza members. His nickname is the “Outlaw Preacher.” Kiya sent over the link to his website, but I can’t read any of it (cool pictures though).
I would love to meet him one day and hear his story.
This guy is all sorts of cool. If I could only be half the man he is when I’m his age. He looks like he eats glass shards between his protein shakes.
