Böker Keycom.
Did I really need a new knife? Not really. Has it made my daily openings of boxes and packages more fun? Definitely. I picked up this Böker Keycom designed by Chad Los Banos in my favorite colorway last week, and it arrived in time for me to efficiently unpack our Flat Head, Sling & Stones and Rin Tanaka shipments today.
It’s a tiny knife – when closed, it measures just over 2″. It’s small enough to carry on your keychain, but I’ve opted to remove the ring and just clip it inside my coin pocket.
I can definitely see the value in investing in a higher-end knife somewhere down the line, but this little guy is sharp and gets the job done. It retails for just $27.50, but if you’re resourceful it can be found for less than $20.

good purchase!
i just got me a SOG Flash 1 and it’s been super useful.

Be careful having your knife clipped to your pocket in NYC. Cops look for pocket clips and they will give you a hard time for it. They can’t arrest you for such a small knife but they can confiscate it. I keep my Keycom buried in my pocket.
