Garbage.
Tanner Goods in town.
My friends from Tanner Goods stopped by NY for the weekend to sell their wares at the annual Pop Up Flea event. I stopped by their table to snap some photos of their offerings, some of which were brand new for the season. Keep an eye on their webstore, as I am guessing they should roll out to the general public soon. We also ate soup dumplings and chinese ice cream on Saturday night, but photos of leather goods are probably more interesting to look at.
Fall 2010.
A month ago, I posted about shooting the 3sixteen Fall 2010 lookbook with Vincent Tsang. We’ve since released the lookbook on the 3sixteen website; the image above is my favorite of the lot.
Tornado.
What seemed like a heavy thunderstorm yesterday afternoon in Manhattan turned out to be a destructive storm/tornado in other parts of the city. Parts of Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens were hit the hardest – roofs were torn off homes, trees were uprooted, and traffic accidents abounded. I returned home yesterday evening after a longer than usual train ride, but had no idea of the mayhem that had been caused in my neighborhood. My buddy Albert called me to go out and survey the damage; these photos were all taken a few blocks from my home.
Traffic on our usually quiet street was lined up as far as the eye could see.
These two were taken with makeshift tripods, allowing me to leave the shutter open longer.
Here’s that same weeping willow tree the next morning.
